Owner
Caroline Halsey
Caroline’s love of textiles began at the University of Georgia after taking weaving and screen printing studio courses. Early in her career, she designed for a jacquard mill in North Carolina and after deciding that the small town life did not suit her, took a job in New York City with Cowtan & Tout where she shifted her focus to the sales side of the textile industry. Brunschwig & Fils then recruited her to launch Trevira into the contract/hospitality markets.
Caroline’s knowledge of textiles, sales acumen and tireless energy helped her achieve her dream job with American Silk Mills and then Holland & Sherry, representing textile mills to fabric houses throughout the Northeast. In 2008, Caroline and her husband, Tyson, decided it was time to leave the city life and return to her roots in Charleston with their two-year-old son. Halsey + Spruce was born from a desire to provide quality products and service to the trade in Charleston’s growing design community and throughout the Southeast.
